Perhaps you're new to the area. Or are looking for another musical group to rehearse and perform with. Well, we're a friendly society and will welcome new members to both the choir and orchestra - and with a professional conductor, leader and rehearsal pianist we're sure you'll get a lot out of coming along.

Of course, we have an annual subscription fee to fund our pursuit for excellent music making but we'll give you all the details when you come along.

We encourage social events and any kind of music activity within the Society. There is an annual summer meal, the choir runs a regular raffle at its rehearsals, we regularly sing carols to raise money for charity at Christmas time and have made numerous foreign tours in the past - including a visit to a contact we have in Bermuda!

Join the choir

There are vacancies for all voices, particularly tenors and basses. Membership is open to all singers after successful completion of a simple voice test. If you are interested, please contact the Choir Membership Secretary.

The choir rehearses for 2 hours from 7.30 - 9.30 in the main hall at Watford Girls' Grammar School every Monday evening during term time.

Join the orchestra

There are vacancies for string players in all sections and for French horns, but we'd be happy to hear from you whatever your instrument. We ask for a Grade VIII or equivalent standard. If you are interested please apply to the Orchestra Membership Secretary.

The orchestra rehearses for 2 hours from 7.30 - 9.30 in the Tenent Hall at Watford Girls' Grammar School every Wednesday evening during term time.
